South Side Tree Care

Join Tree Tenders on the South Side Flats as they work to care for newly planted trees!

We will be working primarily along East Carson and Sarah St between 17th and 22nd.

Tasks will include weeding, mulching, and some lite pruning to ensure the health of new trees.

Tree Pittsburgh will provide all tools, safety equipment, and training.  All you need to bring is yourself!

Bloomfield Tree Care

On Sunday, April 22, Tree Pittsburgh and the Bloomfield Tree Tenders will be working with the Agency for Jewish Learning to care for trees on Liberty Ave.

This event is not open for public registration, but be sure to honk or give a shout when you see us on Liberty!

A Great Volunteer Day on Mount Washington

Thank you Students Today, Leaders Forever!

On Tuesday March 13th, Tree Pittsburgh had the pleasure of partnering with Mount Washington CDC to host 45 student volunteers for conservation work on Mount Washington. This project was part of a multi-state tour organized though Students Today, Leaders Forever, which provides service opportunities for students on Spring Break.

Calling All Tree Tenders!

Join Burgh Bees and Tree Pittsburgh for a Pruning Workshop evening at the Burgh Bees Apiary on Susquehanna Street!

A number of trees were planted in this location as a source of pollen for the bees.  To keep these trees growing in a healthy fashion, it's time to give them a light pruning to ensure they have sound structure.  This will also be a great opportunity to visit East End Brewing for Growler Hour!

From 1:30 to 4:30pm, Borland Green community members, neighbors, family and friends will inspect the trees planted last fall and:

1) Prune any winter damage

Tree Care - Highland Park OPEN REGISTRATION

Join the Highland Park Tree Tenders for their monthly tree care event!

On the 3rd Tuesday of each month, the HPTTs visit one of their plantings to weed, mulch, and care for the newly planted trees.

This month we'll be working along Highland Ave from Stanton heading North!

Pruning Workshop - Highland Park - OPEN REGISTRATION

Calling all Tree Tenders! 

Come sharpen your pruning skills with us as we work to prune trees along Stanton Ave in Highland Park/East Liberty!

There are a number of oak trees planted along Stanton Ave that we need to prune this winter while the Oak Wilt vectors are dormant.  We also need to 'elevate' the branches to provide clearance for pedestrians and vehicles.

Tree Pittsburgh will provide all tools and safety equipment necessary to participate.
