Tree Pittsburgh and Starbucks in Allegheny Commons

Tree Pittsburgh is excited to announce that on Thursday, April 19 we will be partnering with Starbucks employees to care for trees in Pittsburgh's Allegheny Commons on the North Side.

Allegheny Commons has over 100 newly planted trees that are in need of weeding, mulching, and extra care so they can become well-established in the landscape.  Through stewardship efforts such as these, we can ensure the health and longevity of the next generation of urban trees.

This event is not open for public registration, but we hope you'll honk or say hi if you see us out there!

From 1:30 to 4:30pm, Borland Green community members, neighbors, family and friends will inspect the trees planted last fall and:

1) Prune any winter damage

Come sharpen your pruning skills with us as we work to prune trees along Albemarle St in Squirrel Hill!

Many new elm trees have been planted along Albemarle, and they're all in need of our pruning prowess to help them grow tall and true!

Be sure to dress for the weather, as we'll be pruning rain or shine (or snow!)

Tree Pittsburgh will provide all tools and safety equipment necessary to participate.

Come sharpen your pruning skills with us as we work to prune trees along Stanton Ave in Highland Park/East Liberty!

There are a number of oak trees planted along Stanton Ave that we need to prune this winter while the Oak Wilt vectors are dormant.  We also need to 'elevate' the branches to provide clearance for pedestrians and vehicles.

Tree Pittsburgh will provide all tools and safety equipment necessary to participate.

Come sharpen your pruning skills with us as we work to prune trees along East Liberty Blvd!

Many trees have been planted along the median of East Liberty Blvd, and they're all in need of our pruning prowess to help them grow tall and true!

We'll keep you toasty with warm drinks, but it's likely to be cold so bring your mittens and your long johns.  

Tree Pittsburgh will provide all tools and safety equipment necessary to participate.
