Happy Arbor Day!

Arbor Day is here! Arbor Day is a special day set aside to celebrate all that trees provide for us. Trees bring a lot of benefits to our city streets. Not only do they make the streets more beautiful but they also provide shade for humans, homes for birds and insects, and help to keep some storm water out of our pipes and sewers. Arbor Day provides a great chance to celebrate these benefits and show trees some love by giving them some extra attention.

Tree Pittsburgh's Urban Forest Film Festival returns with films featuring trees and forests!

Join us for about an hour's worth of short films followed by a reception with refreshments and East End Brewing Company beer on Wednesday April 18th, at 7pm.

Programs

Tree Pittsburgh works throughout the City to protect and restore the urban forest through education, advocacy, tree planting and maintenance.  Our main programs and special projects help us to achieve this mission.

 

Tree Tenders: Tree Tenders participate in an 8-hour educational course about urban forestry, tree planting and care, and work hard in their communities to ensure a healthy       urban forest for generations to come.
